As we step into December, here’s a little gift from my kitchen to yours — a classic Coquito recipe. Creamy, coconut-rich, and full of holiday warmth, this Puerto Rican favorite is perfect for Christmas gatherings, winter nights, or anytime you want a sweet seasonal moment.
🥥 Homemade Coquito Recipe ❤️
Ingredients:
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 can (15 oz) cream of coconut (like Coco López)
1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla extract 1–2 tsp ground cinnamon (plus more for dusting)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Optional: 1–2 cups white rum (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on medium until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust — more cinnamon for warmth, more rum for kick, more cream of coconut for sweetness. Pour into glass bottles or jars and chill at least 4 hours (overnight is best for flavor). Shake well before serving and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Pro Tip: It thickens as it chills — add a splash of coconut milk if you want it thinner.
