Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?
I definitely spend more time thinking about the future than the past. While I enjoy revisiting good memories, I try to leave the unpleasant ones archived—out of sight but never erased. Every experience, good or bad, serves as a lesson, shaping the present and guiding the future.
That said, my true focus is on the present. The future, though exciting, is intangible. The only thing I can truly control is the moment right in front of me. As I write this, I think about how these words might resonate with those who read them, and I wonder how others would respond to this same question.
I also think about that coffee waiting for me when I’m done—how the caffeine will fuel more beauty blogging later today. It’s a good day, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
In this moment of reflection, I’m reminded of Matthew 6:34, where Jesus teaches:
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
This verse reminds me to live fully in today, trusting that God holds my future in His hands. I can let go of past regrets and future anxieties, resting in the assurance that His grace is sufficient for every moment.
Thank you, God, for the gift of this day. Keep me safe, and bless everyone here working hard to create something meaningful for others to read, learn from, or simply enjoy. Help us all to walk in faith, knowing You are with us in every step.
